I have spent the last two weeks interviewing potential staff, hiring some of them and developing a business model.  Our initial business plan has seen some major adjustments after gathering information from industry insiders, partners and locals.  Our major shift is from targeting a very niche market in wakeboarding, to going after the much broader watersports market.  Attracting customers and having consistent revenue streams has been the major issue with wakeboard programs in Muskoka and a broader overall market will give us more opportunity to do that.

This experience so far as been invaluable for me as I am about to enter the Notre Dame Mendoza MBA program.  I will have real world knowledge to compare my classes too and am learning my strong interests and strengths so I will know where to focus my time and education dollars.
